I met with my new ped today. I took all 3 kids, with their medical books/records and my questions. We get to the office and I am handed 3 clipboards with 10 sheets of paper each.
Oh lordy, I set Neil on the floor and he goes off searching for toys(germs) to play and the girls are reading.
After writing my name and signing 20 twenty times, we get to see the new doc . Ashwina thinks he is cool! He asked us family history and all that jazz..
Then he asks me some questions which I don’t think a ped asked before..
1. Where do the girls sleep?
2. Do you have a gun in the house?
3.Do you have a pool on your property?
4. Is Ashwina a excellent, average or poor student?
Well, the reasons he gave for 2 and 3 were that they are the number 2 reasons for deaths of children in USA. So don’t get a pool or gun!
After that, we got the kids weight and height checked
**Ashwina is 39.5 lbs(25%) and 44 inches(15%)
Avasha is 36Lbs(90%) and 39 inches(95%)
Arnav is 19.5lbs(50%) and I forgot how tall is he but he was in 50% for length as well.**
So everyone is all caught up with the jabs. the girls don’t need to go in till next year. Avasha got 3 shots and Neil got 1. And we spent about 90 mins there. The thing about this doc, he kept quoting me things from AAP(American Assoc of Pediatrics). IS that a good thing or bad? But he is also very high-tech, If I have a non-emergency issue, I can email him and he was like take pictures if they get a rash or something..I’m like okay I would save my copay.
Woohoo Its Friday.
**If you dont’t understand this is all that is mummy stuff, you would understand when you have kids
