My sasural(am thinking of at he right word in English but none comes close. Inlaw’s house doesn’t seem to cut it) I have less than a week before we leave for US. And it cant come faster. The kids all have some kind of food poisoning. I am up to my elbows in cleaning poop and washing butts.
This despite we drinking boiled or Aquaguard water, not eating street food and limiting mangoes
And I have reached my limit of touching feet and smiling like an idiot when introduced to someone.
Looking forward to sleeping in my own bed but not the 26 hours of flying hell.

Sunita, you just brought back memories to me during my trip to Delhi in 1994. diarrhoea and infection lasting 2months. I am not trying to scare you but that’s what happened to every member in our family despite the boiled water or safe bottled water and no street food. Sorry to hear about your predicament. Hope everyone get well soon and survive the 26hours trip.

u ate ice cream though? it always gets me down in india! always!!! avoid ice cream. god knows what kind of water they put in it. this time, lassi did me in. i was an idiot and didn’t realize that LASSI TOO HAD WATER in it! hehe
