Too depressed to think of a title.

From what I have seen, it sucks. I miss the mountains, the view from my balcony, the cows, the horses and the field. I hate the traffic, the sucky people here.
When I go on my walks in CO, people always at least smile and say good morning, here no one does that.

I just enrolled the girls in school and our homeschool doesnt have space for Avasha, its the top school in the distric, thats why we are paying almost $2300 in rent to be in in this district.

Our next choice school is a 7 on great schools rating, the API is some 802, and it just sucks. There is no TAG or GATE programme..only in summer.

Did I also mention that it has been raining since we got here? Well that’s the only decent thing, Samar’s excema has improved a bit because of the humidity.

You know you are really depressed when even a  trip to Ikea doesnt cheer you up

and you say this from sunny california. you should move to seattle, WA.

seriously, hang in there. the first month or two are horrible, esp when you rebuild from scratch the fantastic support network you had, and realize that it doesnt match up.
it is exciting, refreshing, renewing and all that, but yes, totally depressing. hugs!

  2. i love lucy says:

Awwww…hang in there S, I am sure it will get better soon.

    Me: I hope so too.

  3. Moving is always tough..always. Try and think of all the horrid stuff you’ve left behind..maybe that will make you feel better?
    Hugs.

Me:I checked out the weather for CO and it ‘s suppose to snow this weekend. I swear that made feel better.

  4. Anita says:

I’m going to call you later. Maybe we can get together tomorrow. I haven’t checked weather yet but it’s been nice the last couple days, right? Oh yeah, don’t get me started on the people here. I could go on.

    Me:Emailed you Anita.

  5. chandni says:

    Just hang in there :)

  6. Tammy says:

I found that even moving from Marin to this area that people don’t say hi to you here.
So I just say hi to everyone ;)

It won’t rain forever, it’s actually the first rain we have had since April.

Oh and on the plus side, this is winter, it doesn’t get any worse than this or different. It’s either cold and sunny or raining. no snow, no snow suits, no boots, no scarves, no hats and mittens. (although we sometimes wear mittens and hats if we are going out to play)

and I know you guys love crocs and you can wear them every day of the year here :)

Me:Hey Tammy. I think I was expecting something else and just not mentally prepared for what I saw. CO spoilt me. The no traffic and the open fields/farms/mountains lulled me into believing that cities dont really exist. CA is exactly like Singapore, with its tall buildings, the crowds and the traffic. And I hated it when we were in Singapore. :)

  7. hang in there dear. the sun will shine soon.

  8. Mimi says:

  9. La Vida Loca says:

I hated bay area when I came here first :)

    Welcome to CA

    Me:) Thanks LV
