Update to My Moving Woes

I am trying not to be a bitch. We could have moved to North Dakota or Wisconsin where its cheap and freezing cold. Or NK could have been jobless and in Boulder. I am counting my good luck when he found a good job amidst the whole crisis, wasn’t jobless even for a day and  DAMMIT THE BAY AREA, where the sun fucking shines 365 days a year.

But I have never felt this way before. Maybe its  seeing ONLY NANNIES at the playground. The fact that SAHM(stay-at-home-moms) are as rare as fat on Nicole Richie’s body. Plus add the fact that I have  FOUR KIDS makes me a double freak. Maybe its driving and turn signals are completely optional here. Maybe its the whole BMW on your left, Audi on your right and Lexus in front of you. Maybe its the fact that there is going to be a line at the checkout in the grocery store no matter its a Sunday morning at 7.30 or Friday evening at 7.30. So for that reason, I am going to list the things that make me happy here in sunny  Bay Area

  1. Humidity and its effects on Samar’s Skin.Vast improvement over CO’s dryness.
  2. 80F days in Nov
  3. Trader Joes
  4. Wine in Costco
  5. 99 Ranch
  6. 2 miles to the Indian Store(we were 15 miles to the closest Indian store in CO)
  7. The Ocean
  8. Ikea(although I didnt feel happy the last time I was there 10 days ago)
  9. I’m trying to make it to 10 but cannot think of anymore.

Should I make a list of what I miss in Boulder? No I think that will send me over the edge.

i think its awesome news that samar’s condition has improved. maybe it is a good reason to overlook life in CO?

Sorry to hear you still don’t like it here. I would move back down to LA, if given the chance, but am also trying to make the best of it since I think we will be here for a long time. The problem is that I still see living in the Bay Area as temporary, whereas Alejandro thinks we’re going to grow old here.

Me:How is he now? Hope he is better.

    Anyways, we can bitch together!

    me:Yeah Bitch Fest!

Which parks are you going to? I only go on weekends so I see a lot of parents and hardly any nannies. Maybe if you’re free this weekend we can meet up.

Me:I went to the little one at the library and then on Sat we went to the one at the Senior Citizens. That one, I guess had moms..being a weekend and all :)

How about adding you are closer to the avocado Hippy?! have you been to the city yet? We lived in a rental in the East bay and yeah there were nannies (here in Baketown, too!) and BMW’s,ect. but I also found these in Houston, TX. You will find a circle of friends but you just have to give it time. Have you gone to your local library for story time yet?

Me:I did forgert to list that. :) I did go to the 10a/m story time 2 Fridays ago and thats when I found the nannies and the grannies.I dont know why your comment went to my spam folder. WP is acting all wonky.
