Just another day

I wanted to write a post as soon as I knew about the news. Placed a call to my sis-in-law, the taxi blast in Vile Parle was less than a mile from her house. When she answered my call with ‘Abhi tak mare nahi’ Hum sab thik hai.(We aren’t dead yet. Everyone’s fine) I said good, here talk to your brother.

Thinking about my blogging friends,(Kenny, Kiran) and hoping that they and their family were fine. Read Chandini’s post about her friend’s dad.

Kept watching the news, waiting to hear that Rabbi and his wife would get out safe(they didnt), that the terror at Taj had ended. The ads for Black Friday were on as well. A worker was killed in the stampede at Walmart. People were upset that the police had closed the store.. Because saving a few fucking dollars is worth more than a life.Last year, I roasted a turkey, made bread, had cranberry suace. This year, I didnt do anything.

Eventually, I stopped watching the news and checking the internet. Tried to plan the weekend for the kids. Ashwina was watching CNN with me and following the coverage.

“What do the terrorist want Mama” she asked

I don’t know beta. I dont know.
