Remember when I told you guys about my 7 mile trek. I did a modified version this weekend. a 4.5 mile in 1 hour 15 mins and I took pictures to show how steep the roads were.
On the weightloss front, I joined a weight loss support group, something like Weight Watchers but much cheaper. We meet once a week in the evenings, get weighed in and then talk about how to lose weight, eat right, blah blah. I joined in the first week of January and have lost 7.5 lbs since then. I wonder though whether I am cheating, I get weighed in at 6.30p/m. I have lunch at 1 and then chai at 3.30 and then dont eat or drink till after my weigh in. Is that cheating? I do know that the weekly weigh in makes me question everything I put in my mouth especially over the weekend. I am a competitive person and I hate to stand up in a group and announce I gained this week. I’m sure they will be weeks where I will gain but I want my first few weeks to be all losses.
In other news, NK and I got a babysitter this Sat evening. We are going to this fancy country club where Neil’s preschool is having an auction fundraiser. The babysitter is a college girl who works at the gym’s daycare. Samar is already used to her. I have never gotten a babysitter because a)I am cheap and b)I dont do things that are not kid friendly(movies,dinner kinda of things). If the kids do well with her, we might make a monthly date thing and have her watch the kids.

- This is the way to the library. I normally have the boys in the double stroller, and a bag of library books. Walking by myself made it seem easier.

Regarding weighing and cheating, I do not think you are, because you are weighing each week at the same time so your weightless is real.

Wow ! 7.5 pounds..thats awesome, I have just about lost 4 kgs yet and have …lets say, a lot, to go…give me some tips na…so far whenever I have put on weight which used to be 2-3 kilos(those were tyhe good days) I used to exercise and burn them off in a month or two…now looks like I will have to diet too..any particular diets you are following?

My rational mind understands that what I need is exercise, but between a full-time job, kid-chauffering activities and winter, I have not gotten any real exercise in 3 months…and my 40-year-old-body has suddenly decided it needs fat against the famine! My diet is fine – vegetarian, about 1200 calories a day – could probably stand to cut down a little I think, but most of it is fruits/veggies/dal (I love salads, and live on them during the week). So need some ideas…

Me: 1200 is very little. I eat at least 1500-1800 some days. I will do a post later this week.
