The new banner head is from Sunday. All of us were under the comforter with a flashlight. NK told each of the kids to say 4 good things about someone and 1 bad thing.  Everyone did it except Samar obviously.

Neil: Ashwina is good  because she gives me hugs. She read to me. She switches on Nick JR. She is bad because SHE DOESNT LET ME IN HER ROOM AND LOCKS THE DOOR. The end was said in hysterical screaming voice.

Ashwina: Mama is good  because she packs me lunches. She brings us to the library for fun things. She lets me play on her phone. Her bad thing is that she screams too much.

Me: Daddy makes me happy when he washed the dishes without asking. He put gas in Mama’s van when it was empty. He did Samar’s nebulizer without asking. He makes me angry when he tells me he is coming home but  then doesnt come till its 2 hours later.

I forgot what Avasha talked about. It was interesting listening to them speak. NK said he read about this in an management book. Each child was quiet when the other was speaking. Underneath the comforter’s darkness, the flashlight made a spotlight on the child. He/She felt special for that 2 mins.

Of course, it only lasted less than 10 minutes before Samar started jumping and screaming.

We attended a Holi event on Sat. It was organized by Asha. I thought the kids especially Samar would have scared by the colors. Surprisingly, they loved. Samar jumped right in with doing finger painting with both hands and his feet. Then they threw colors on each other and at times on themselves.

It was held out in the fields. The weather was perfect, in fact too hot at times. There was an area cordoned for the kids, with finger paints, and little kiddie pools. We had brought water guns and Neil had fun squirting his sisters.
