Around the World

Almost everyone I know I have done this. My blog is  like last week’s newspaper. I was tagged by CA to list   the 5 things I loved about motherhood.

1. That I get to go down the slide and no one bats an eye. That I get to play tea-party, play-doh and dress-up and no one thinks its weird. Experiencing childhood all over again has been fun. Going to the museum, the zoo, the water parks with our kids has made me feel that I am 8 again.

2. Everything I do is held in awe. Whether it’s telling people I lost weight, or am going to run a 5k. Whether its taking all 4 of them on a 36 hour flight by myself. Its always a gasp of shock, horror, curiosity, admiration from others. I did XYZ and am a mother to 4.

3.The early morning-late night conversations with each child. Whether its the 2yr old Cliffods story or the 10 yr old’s thing abt her CO friends who have forgotten abt her. I cherish these talks I have with them.

4. How unaffected I have become by things people do or say. I simply shrug off and ignore any and all rude and ignorant comments. Motherhood *4 has given me the patience of a saint. (even my dad noticed it during our trip last year) I dont yell as much or at least I try not to.:)

5.I love how much closer I have become to my mom, to my sister after I become a mom. We were always close but now our bond is much deeper because we are both moms. I love how I can connect to another mom instantly through the same 2 yr old temper tantrums or the potty training horrors.

Can relate to #4 … motherhood has taken my ‘dont care’ attitude to a whole new level, and I am extremely thankful for it!!!

Yup definitely it is nice being 8 again. Run, play talk like those gives a mom a whole new look to life.

I love your blog. I spent a long time reading as many posts as I can this week.
You say it as u see it. thats awesome.
I’m a mum of one little 10month old boy.
I envy you on point 4. I’m yet to learn enough patience to put up with idiots. Plus though I totally admire my mum and there is thins bond now that I;m a mum too…It still annoys me that she re-tells me how she did thinvs with me… i.e “I gave u honey/sugar at 10 months…thats ok…look how u turned out…don’t trust this midwife/book. etc.”
ahhhh. she drives me nuts with that.
anyway…will keep following ur blog. :)
