The Car
A short story by Ashwina
Alice was walking to the garage to look at her brand new car. She could just see the shining red cover.
As Alice reached the garage,she thought, I must take the car for a ride. So when Alice opened the garage,she was surprised to see that the whole garage was a mess
“Who could have done this?” Alice said
“I did” came a voice
“Wh-who are you” stammered Alice.
“I am your car” came the voice again.
Alice walked over to where she parked her car. She thought it was some kind of a joke her younger brother Kenny was doing.When she walked over there, there was nothing but her car.
When Alice was just about to leave,the Voice came back,not in a booming voice but in a nice and gentle one. It said, “Please dont go.It gets lonely in here.” Alice turned around to see if Kenny was still playing a trick on her. She was astonished to see her car had a big tooth grin.
Y-y-you cant talk. I must be imagining it, said Alice. OUCH! I am definelty not dreaming.
Yes,you are not dreaming. Anyways I am Katherine, said the car
So for the next hour,the car and the girl talked. They talked abt their lives,their families and they talked about each other stories. Katherine’s story was amazing. She had travelled all around the world. She had travelled to China, Russia,France,USA and many more.
There was one more thing that was unusual about Katherine. She was under a spell.. When she was born,her parents held a big party.They invited everyone in town,even the old witch by the creek.
The old witch never came into town but she thought she would show her powers by doing somethig to the baby.So she went to the party. Near the end of the party, the old witch went to the baby and casted a spell on her. The old witch had turned the baby into a car. She told the whole town that her spell would be lifted when the car was treated like a true friend. The old witch also told the town that the car could talk and ZAP the car vanished.

Its at 304 words count. I will type out the rest tomorrow night. She wrote this in abt 3 hours on Wed. Her teacher bought a new car and gave everyone a assigment to a fictional story . She told me her story was voted the best. 23 out of 27 kids voted for hers. I cannot believe how wonderful her stories are. They are really creative. I told her she can become a writer and I will be her PR manager. She said, no you just be my mom.. 
PS:She is writing another 26 page story abt Sophia,an orphan child who is escaping from the orphange and is now on the beach. Its still not finished.
