Ro wrote a post abt the differences between her first and 2nd pregnancies Chox then left a comment wondering what did people do different in their 3rd and more pregnancies. Since, I am always up for stealing ideas from other posts, I thought I write my own post.
- Your 4th pregnancy, you drive yourself to the L&D, when in labour Actually I blogged abt it here.
- You also argue with the doctor that YOU ARE NOT IN LABOUR.
- Your spouse also decides to skip the abovementioned ER visit.
- You self diagnose yourself before going to the doc. Bell’s Palsy
- After birth (still in the hospital), you are eating toast, reading the magazine and breastfeeding the baby. The Lactation counsellor pokes her head in and laughs, and says I am not needed here.
- You tend to ignore the weird aches and pains and not be constantly calling the office as one tends to do withe their first.
- The months seems to fly away, because you are busy running after the older 3.Sometimes, you look down on your tummy and realise oh you are preggo.
- You also confuse all your pregnancies up. Sometimes, I wonder what I am saying, did it happen with the 2nd or the 3rd or the last one. I seriously cannot remember.
- You fall down pretty bad and you know it doesnt warrant a ER trip.
- You also already live in maternity clothes. You dont need to go out to buy anything
- You already have everything you need from the previous pregnancies. The baby is all set. maybe newborn diapers?
In short, Chox basically one tends to forget one’s preggo when you are dealing with the other kids at home. When Samar was born, I had an infant, Neil just turned 2 and Avasha was 4.5 yrs old. I seriously dont remember how I got through those long long days and night. Wait i remember. I drank!

This is such a cool post. I loved it. You know, it might be tough, having four kids, raising them, but you do have a full house, and your kids will always have each other, its such a wonderful thing. i hope the BB has one sibling atleast!
Me: Some days, I want to crawl under my bed an not come out. Other times, I think whats 4, I can handle 2 more.
lol.
I’ll remember that!
Me:

Great post. I have only two pregnancies to remember, but the second was exactly like you described!
Loved the bit about the toasteatingmagazinereadingbreastfeeding! Hehehehehehe
You are a riot and thats why we love ya!
Me: Isnt it amazing how the 2nd pregnancy is do different from the first. How less neurotic we were.
Awesome woman..have a lot of respect for you. For having 4, staying at home to take care of them all, getting into a fitness regime and geting back to shape with a passion! You rock!
Me: Thanks Sole.
Lol. I guess by the time 4th pregnancy happens, you’re like “been there, done that – no big deal”
So different from the 1st one when you are so anxious and worried.
Me: YUP.
The initial years must have been tough, esp with that age gap between neil and samar
once samar grows up a lil more, you may actually find a lot of time on your hands, because the girls have each other for company and so do the boys…till ofcourse the teen years
do you think so too?
Me: It is actually getting much easier. The girls are pretty independent. The boys are also learning to do alot for themselves. I am counting down the years.:)
hey thanks and as i never tire of saying, you are god!
I just can’t wait to write a similar post!!!!!!!!!!
(If only dreams could turn into reality!)
Me: Just use Made in Malaysia Durex condoms. Thats how the two boys were conceived. Yup..both times!!
if you were an egg recipe, you would be called sunny side up!! :p
all sunshine!! a total inspiration!
Me: rofl this made me laugh!
Funny post!!!
You are hilarious…really, truly!
Your post just kicked my post’s ass. Big time
