Life
Alice and Allison had everything they needed. They had parents, a good house, good school, and most of all they had each other. Alice and Allison were twins. Alice and Allison were rich. Their parents gave them whatever they wanted, but they always gave it in fear. The Twins always wondered why their parents gave things in fright.
For example whenever either twin asked for something at the dinner table, whichever parent gave it is trembling from head to toe. The girls were extremely smart. They could do fifth grade work in first grade, for some reason their parents didn’t want the Twins t be smart. They said it brought back memories.
The Twins were also adventurous. They loved climbing trees while other girls their age were trying on makeup and going shopping. The Twins thought their parents were a bit dull. Their dad is a doctor and mom is a model, but their parents had always kept a terrible secret. The Twins mom was a mermaid in the water and their dad was an incomplete sorcerer. These two secrets have been kept from the Twins since birth.
Disappear
One day back from school, the girls felt that something was missing. Even though they didn’t say anything to each other they poked their heads into each room of the manor. The Twins had searched for two whole hours before realizing what was missing. Their parents should have been home by now and they would have heard their mother arrive. She liked to make a grand entrance. The girls were quiet for a long time.
Finally Allison broke the silence by saying, “Let’s call their work to see if mom and dad are going to be late.”So the two girls their parents work. They called dad’s first. The secretary said he had already left. Mom’s office also said she had already left. Alice said,” Let’s wait for them a bit more.” So the Twins waited for another hour or so. After sometime the girls had to conclude that their parents aren’t coming. The Twins went into the drawing where it was a bit warmer. Allison who had excellent eyesight saw that a stone had come loose in the wall. She exclaimed to Allison,” Alice look over there do you see the loose stone?” Alice who had also just noticed the loose stone said,” Yeah, Do you think there is anything there?” “Maybe, Shall we go check it out?”
So the girls rushed over to the loose stone. Alice wiggled the stone and it came out with pop! Alice then reached in and pulled out a note in her father’s handwriting. It said,” Girls, Your mother and I have kept a terrible secret from you. Your mother is a mermaid in the water and I’m an n incomplete sorcerer. You must find you’re Aunt Melli and she will tell you all you need to know. Here is her address. Here he listed Aunt Melli’s address and then the note went on. We are sorry we had to leave, but duty calls. Love Mom and Dad. After reading the note there was more silence. Alice broke the silence by saying,” Do you think Dad is telling the truth about us being half-mermaid and half-sorcerer?” “Probably, Dad doesn’t lie.” replied Alice. “What do you think we should do now?” “We should go find Aunt Melli. Dad told us to do that, didn’t he?”
Aunt Melli
The girls checked Aunt Melli’s address. The address was for London, UK. There was also a phone number in the note. The Twins thought they should call Aunt Melli to tell her they were coming.
The Twins rushed over to the house phone, dialed the number and waited. After a few minutes they heard a voice. It had a thick accent. “Hello.”, it said.” Who is this?””Hello Aunt Melli. These are you nieces Allison and Alice.” said Alice. It was a while before Aunt Melli spoke again.”Yes yes I know who you are. You are Frank’s daughters. Am I right?” “Yeah that’s right.” said Alice. “Well why have you called me?” asked Aunt Melli. “Aunt Melli our parents have left without telling us where there are going, but Dad left a note and told us to call you he said you will tell us everything.” said Alice.
Aunt Melli pondered this for some time. “Well I guess it is all you can do but to come over here.” Aunt Melli said finally. So the girls and Aunt Melli booked tickets and the girls flew to London.
When the girls landed in London, Aunt Melli was already there. When Aunt Melli saw the Twins she shouted,” Girls! Woo hoo!” The Twins spotted her and rushed over to her. As the girls the girls got closer they saw a looming figure. “Hello, girls I would like you to meet Carlos our chauffeur. Now let’s go show you the house.” Said Aunt Melli.
