Daily Outfit 8/22

I am all blogged out. I have no topics to write about. I sat down yesterday thinking what should I blog about today and nothing came to  mind. Schools’s starting in 4 days and I am jumping for joy. I love my kids and all, but 2.5 months of Mama, I am bored! followed by Mama I am hungry! is enough to drive anyone insane. In fact, I think  people who commit less heinous crimes should be sent to a childcare to care for

  • Teething/colic infants,
  •  2 yr old who think the can wear their shoe and will refuse to let you help them.
  • Almost 5 yr old who thinks not buying gummy bears means that he should throw himself on the ground and shout and scream
  • 10 yr old who cannot figure out the bead loom and is thus screaming at her younger siblings LEAVE ME ALONE

I think these people would never commit another crime for fear of being sent back.

NK took these pictures. He made me stand and said look like this or do that for a loong time. Avasha does a much better job in a much shorter time. I think.

I was wearing a necklace but it took it out when we reached home. This is 7.30 in the evening and you can clearly see from my makeup-less face, how I look.  My feet hurt from wearing those sandals. How do women wear impossibly high heels?  I realized I have abnormally muscular calves. I always had strong calves but the combination of running and spinning in the past 2-3 months have made them more muscular and ummm sort of weird looking. *Note to self work on flabby thighs more*

Nk trying to get me to pose?

Nk trying to get me to pose and me saying just take it fast, will ya!

No make up! Run for the hills!

No make up! Run for the hills!

Skirt:Banana republic
Tank Top: Some store I dont remember
Shoes:Target
Jacket: Thrifted for 0.75 cents.
Sliver hoops to compliment the studs.
I received yet another email asking me whether I feel squeamish about buying used clothes at a thrift store. I dont! There! And I also not going to lie about where I  bought it from.

  1. I love your smile in this one, very sweet. :D Lady you wear heels, do you need to? I twist my ankle whenever I even try. Your calves are STRONG, and if you are carrying those kids around, I am not expecting it to be any other way!! btw, I got white linen pants at a 75% off yesterday. I am sooooooo happy!

Me:woohoo on linen pants. Flast killed the outfit so I sucked up and wore heels.

I totally buy clothes at thrift stores. You can find some amazing stuff there! And holy cow, your calves ARE muscular. You are so bad ass, Sunita, I’m so impressed.

Do you ever read Mighty Girl’s blog? She does “fashion” posts where she highlights a couple of outfits from her friends’ closets. It’s kind of neat.

Me:I havent heard of Mightygirl but googled. OH MY GOD> Intel is sponsoring her for a Greece trip! WAH! And her friends are all hot! and they buy from thrift stores. Thanks for another addiction Angie!!NOT!!

  5. Pearls says:

  6. Anjali says:

Wow, do you have nice calves! What exercises did you do to get them?

Me: Running/Spinning and lots of lunges (though those arent for the calves I think) squats/step ups on stools

  7. Sindbad says:

Agree with you on the high heels. I’ve decided to throw out vanity and wear flats to work. Yes, I’m super short, but hey – atleast I’m comfy. Love the look (and the attitude), but not so much those heels :)

Me: I am always in flats or chappals or crocs.

  8. Miss M says:

    Priya.

  13. SS says:

Wow you are looking really good Sarikh. My 2 year old also refuses to let me help him with his shoes. Drives me mad too. But at least I don’t have a 5 and 10 yr old to add to it :D

  14. shilpadesh says:

You look smashing! And your calves? You are the only woman whose calves look stronger than mine. Let no troll mess with you, or your kick would kill her!

Dont ask me about the heels.. I am on a quest for the perfect pair.. looking great girl!!! I am back from a round of shopping in Delhi on the road side stores .. buying clothes.. esp when you dont have to pay an arm and a leg for it is so much fun :)

Me: Jealous of the cheap shopping. I never found my size clothes though. They always said XL nahi hai :) and forget about shoes. I went crazy buying jewellery though.

  18. ooooh, love the jacket!
And its for 75 cents?!? I love it more.

  19. Anita says:

As for your calves – I’d give anything to have calves like that – I have flabby ones :(
    I think they look great!

  22. Hey…I will have to disagree with you on this babe.

The NK takes awesome pics!!! Might be not as quick as Avasha, but surely great shots these :)

Loved this outfit and imagining long necklace with it is even better.

Give NK a chance to click whenever possible !

Me: he does too much nautanki and annoys. Stand like this, look like that. Lift your chin up. Arggh

and do all 2 yo wanna do their stuff on their own? cubby is in his “main kanoonga” stage and its sooo annoying! esp when you are in a rush!

    and love the look!

    cheers!

Me: Crazy 2 yr olds are the same everywhere.

  26. Neera says:

looking great :) great outfit too!! And LOL at the criminals being sent to a childcare ..what an idea ..add to that

2 year olds who have all the wrong vocab, still figuring out so many words ..asking for a choco pie to be cut in half and then bawling when you actually cut it because they meant ……God knows what????

Me: OH MY GOD> The almost 5 yr old gets upset if I cut it in half instead of triangles
