I have become obsessed with them. I have NEVER worn them ever before. But suddenly, all I want to do each time I go to my closet is wear them. I have 3 pairs, the denim like one, one black calf length(from forever21) and another white calf length. The white is a mistake and its becomes opaque when I wear. Bad idea!
I met someone new today. She found me through the local moms club.She is from Malaysia, has 3 kids and just moved here. Coincidentally, her child would be going to the same preschool as Samar. I am really excited about her. Although I do have friends here, I dont have anyone who I can just call and say, hey want to meet at the park. Or hey want to come over for chai? We already talked about maybe doing switching babysitting, since she couldnt believe the going rate was $20 for 3 kids. Her kids are the same ages as my middle 2 and I am so excited and cannot wait to have her over for dinner. OMG, I started talking about tights and went off on a tangent. Coming back to tights…
I wore this today. At first, I thought its too much,especially since I am meeting this person for the first time ever. But then I really liked and it was so comfortable that I decided I couldnt be bothered to dress down. How ironical is that?

Personally, I would prefer the second one because I don’t like long tights. I prefer capri tights.

The second pic is superb.. I just love the Polka dots (Thats what you call them, Right?)..For past few months, I wear tights with almost everything in my wardrobe (that matches).. So I wear them with long kurtas, short kurtis, long t-shirts, even dresses! They are just so comfy, and don’t need ironing (lazy me!)..
(There is something not so right in the first picture.. Not so sure what.. I guess its the black cardigan..)
Me: It was slightly chilly and I needed to cover my arms. I am in love with leggings/tights as well.

Beach outfit is smashing! The hair, everything – you look very slim, the guess the big pattern and the black tights go very well together (*mumbles about how stupid I sound, trying to talk fashion when I know nuts about it*)

But the first pic, see I like the outfit except for the skirt. I don’t like it, somehow, it doesn’t flatter you.

Considering you have a muscular, worked out build, I feel you would look best with a longer flowing tunic with leggings of any length. For eg: in the second outfit, the longer length of the tops, the lighter fabric and the pretty belt add a lot more softness to your entire image.

The first outfit..well I think u could have done without the black cardigan/top.
Tights are great…they go with mid length tops and make me look skinnier and taller… I wear them a lot in the summer.
The black ballet flats are must have in any wardrobe…summer or winter…just great.

I am not a fan of the 1st outfit.. may be too many layers?! The cardigan is not flattering, and neither are the leggings..
But the beach outfit is FAB. This might be my fave look of yours in the entire series. I think you’ve nailed the length of legging + tunic combo!

you know, the subliminal messages from reading your blog so regularly must have GOT me. i had gone shopping last weekend (woohoo! presumably because aunt and uncle wanted to buy something for their daughter). And guess what I got? I got these pants that are tights but also churidars (like the tight ones that bundle down at ankle). Usually i dont wear churidars (though they look MUCH smarter than salwars) because of my fat legs. But these work well. My husband said “it will look absurd with a short tshirt” – despite the fact that I bought them with the usual Indian kameez thing, and have no intention of walking around wearing churidar pants with a Tantra tshirt (ugh!). The combo felt very good and comfortable. Only I bought a medium and possibly a small would have fit better. My friend (who is very cool and hip generally) suggested wearing my daughter’s black bead bracelet with it. but of course, i answered “I dont do jewelery” and she laughed.
Up that, Perakath!!
Me: rofl… I want these churidaar tights as well.. And you need to put a picture up complete with the black beads.Maybe both the monster and your spouse would be shocked into silence and will do your bidding the entire day.
