Heard Around The House/ More Narcissism

Me: Samar, you have to do pee-pee in the potty now. You are a big boy. No more diapers

Samar: Why I am a big boy, mommy?

Neil: Samar, because you go to school. You are a big boy right.

Samar: NO, it’s because I have a beeeg lulu(penis)

Its been hot here in the Bay area. I want fall to be here. I want to start baking and making thick soups and chilli. The temperature is rising and supposedly, there is going to be a heat wave from Sunday onwards(Pera, which on should I use here, onward or onwards). Which is long winded way of bringing you to this outfit.

shorts (6)

Vest: This is a reversible vest. I wore the black side here

Tank Top: Old Navy

Shorts: Marshalls(I think?) also worn on another hot day

Sandals: Thrifted $4.99 half off. Montego Bay Club

Bangles from India

Scarf: 100% silk batik print bought for 59 cents. (Era, I thought of you and your green room when I saw this)

After looking at this picture, I realize I look like a crazy person with no color sense. Purple vest, beige tank top, black sandals, grey shorts.. In my defense, I am going to say that I left the house at 8.45 and didnt return till 2.  No time to plan any outfits. I wonder those authors of the stylish blogs, do they take time to plan each and every outfit right down to the accessories? I need to check with them I guess.

If its hot, doesnt that scarf around your neck bothers you??

Me: When I got back home, I took it out loh.

I love the versatility of the vest. Fun and casual in this post, and more formal in the other post. Once again I am inspired. I think the beige, gray, and purple color palette is fine. Like I said, it’s a nice casual look.

I will take the daily outfit challenge, but I need to do some shopping first. My “uniform” doesn’t allow enough flexibility. Actually, now that I think about it, I can still do better with the things I have. I guess I just need to change my attitude about my SAHM lifestyle and put in some more effort.

You mentioned the Bay Area. San Francisco?

Me:Yes near there. And please do take the challenge.

  4. The purple looks lovely on you.. and the tank top looks pale pink, so goes well with the vest. The only suggestion from me would be to add a print somewhere in the outfit.

Me: Good idea. though I dont have any printed shorts.
