In which I get pulled into twenty different directions

I can feel myself exploding. I have so many things on my plate, all which seem to be happening at the same time. Tomorrow is my baby’s birthday. Samar turns three. I was trying to get a picture of him for my header, the one which would take my breath away. All I have is blurry shots. That child cannot be bribed even with fruit snack candies. I am throwing a combined party for the boys against my wishes. NK fought with me over this. He wanted to throw a party, I wanted him to buy them a Wii. He went and booked a hall, again against my wishes. I wanted the parks n rec classroom with the playground in front. He booked some cottage.  I ended doing all the work. We are having a Dinosaur theme. From games to party favour to the food, who did all the work. The author of this blog, thank you very much. I find parties are not worth the stress. I rather bring them out for dinner, give me a really expensive toy or do a vacation someplace droolworthy (San Diego). Money in my opinion well spent. Parties are stressful for the parents, the people who are invited have to buy presents. I have to figure what to give in the party favour bags and it just ends up this crazy mess. That said, I really did outdo my self and am sure everyone is going to have a fun time tomorrow. Pictures will up by Sunday and the header will be changed then as well.

Other things going on in my life include Girl Scout emails. I have a new family enrolling into the preschool emails. I spammed everyone on my email list with the sam-e url. Oh so I received at least 10 emails saying how could I not tell my friends that I have a blog and why did I lie all this while. I said I didnt lie. I just forgot to mention I blog. Whats wrong in that? Anyways, she said she loves my blog and is going to tell all her friends to vote. The top profile has a thousand votes, She is blogger and twitter(er) who has hmm 2000 odd people following her. She garnered about 700 votes in one day. Very impressed with her. I am hoping to hit 300 today and be in the bottom 5. I also feel like a dirty politician spamming all my friends with my url. But it isnt going to cost anyone money and literally takes a min. So please do hop over to side bar and vote for me. And spam your friends as well. If I get into the next stage, the Karma fairy will reward you, in some way I am sure.

I went shopping at Costco for party food with both boys. The cashier asks me, SO how are you. I look at her and said I am exhausted. I want to sit down and cry. And you? She said, fine thank you. I wonder whether she even heard what I said.

Red Camisole that came from this outfit.

Hey good luck with it all.
Kids won’t remember the stuff but always remember the moments when they were made to feel special on their birthdays. Though I know putting on parties made my mum stress out – I look back at them and think about how special I felt and how much fun I had.
    You are a great mum.
I’m sure everything will be fine and you miss will look fantastic:)

Me: I think its all about the presents. The boys have been going crazy opening all the gifts.

Happy Birthday to Samar and wishing the very best to both boys ! I hope you and the boys / girls have as much fun as your guests.

You know I am one crazy one who loves organising parties :)
Of course, I get stressed out and start barking at BP for every small thing … but end of the day when people have fun in a party organised by me, makes me so satisfied.

Me: :) I hope people had fun at mine.

  14. yeah, i agree. i just want to crawl away some place instead of organising a party. its not worth it. and i absolutely hate receiving gifts (even if it is my daughter receiving them, i hate the idea).

  15. Sands says:

Am right there with you on parties. Extremely stressful and so not my cuppa tea. Would have any day gone the Wii route :) Told the kids after 10 I am not doing anymore parties for them! As for vacation places, San Diego is absolutely awesome ;)

Me: I am working on trying to convince NK for a trip there over Thanksgiving break.

  16. Sands says:

Cool! Let me know how I can help make it happen ;)
