I need to organize my closet. Get rid of clothes which are too big, for example the jeans I wore yesterday. Although very comfy, they are a tad too big and look very unflattering on me(at least from what I could see in the mirror). I have a small closet,of which there are 3 suitcases stuffed on the floor. Its very difficult to locate stuff sometimes. And sometimes, I forget what I bought and threw back in there.
Like this beautiful cardigan/shrug I bought months ago at the church rummage sale. I also threw it in the tub and washed it despite its Drycleaning Only instructions and the end result was it shrunk and can barely cover my boobs.

Did you check out those hangers you get thes days that claim to take less space in the closet? They work well of you dont have the mid shelf. I got those space saver bags for comforters n such…pretty good. Now I need space for the rest of the space saver bags.

I was thinking of asking you this question from longgg time abt how you manage all these clothes.
One of my collegue had lot’s of clothes and once we were talking abt the same and half-jokingly I told her to record it down in a spreadsheet for each color shade , when I thot abt it later it bit sense though.
It’s difficult for me to give away my clothes , unless am sure that am not gonna use that anymore(which happens rarely, since I always think of some or the other occasion to wear it, though end up never using it )– do that all the time with DH and DS clothes.

and I just squeeze all tops of the same color in each row. It helps me to mix and match easily. I keep only clothes that are appropriate for the season in Closet(live in an apt – so lemme put the blame on space-issue) . Rest[Sarees/Salwars] all goes in Plastic containers and the India-travel-bags
Me:The hanging thing, I had it once and piled on so many things that it collapsed. Opps. I need to figure what to do? Maybe move into a bigger house is the only solution. rofl.

I put a trip to Ikea to buy some of those vertical racks etc to stuff small items like socks and T’s and things like that. Still the closet is far from done. A walk-in closet is needed.. someday.. someday..
