BL(who writes the most mouth watering blog) in a previous post informed me about Villeroy and Boch dinnerware. I have never heard of it when she wrote that comment so I googled it and hmm it was expensive, $30-40 per dinner plate and a 12 piece setting costs $400-$500. So imagine my surprise when I walked into Goodwill and saw this
11 salad/bread/butter plates. And it was priced
Questions running through my mind,
1.Do I need it? Nope
2. Are my guests going to turn over their plates and ohh and aah over the mark/brand name? No
3. Do I have matching dinner plates for this salad plate? Nope, but the plain white(or I can find green ones) will do.
4. Will I ever be able to afford Villeroy and Boch(even though I didnt know wtf it was until Dec)? Nope
5. Should I buy all 11? Heck Yeah!
And it added color in the hutch. I was too lazy to take a picture with the Nikon. Hence the bad quality.I really want a bar cart now.
I am going to throw a dinner party every 5-6 weeks. I owe quite a few people. June, the friends who helped us move, the other neighbour who babysat for us, and she came over every evening to help bring a load or two with me, another friend who invited us when NK was away. My goal is to have my first dinner party mid Feb.
Below is the hutch in the corner of the dining room. Pretty things…make me happy. Can I just say how happy I am in this house.
