Crafty Days

Take some saucers and different sized wineglass and sundae cups and/or candle sticks

Washed and drying on the newspaper sheet

 Add some Gorilla Glue

It's easier to eyeball the middle of the plate when its lying down on its back

Place an object to weigh it down.

In our case, its books and 2 cans

Wait 48 hours for glue to dry.And then Taa Daa

Ashwina call dibs on the tall one.

The saucers were 49cents each and the candles sticks were all less than a dollar. I spent $12.99 on 12 plates and the base for them. I saw this idea on many many blogs. The important thing is try and find the right sized base to the right plate. Wouldnt this make a awesome housewarming gift? Wrap up some cake and give the cake stand as well?

Yes it would make an awesome housewarming gift !! and its so pretty and easy to make. I was so jealous of you yesterday. Som broke one of our dining chairs and we are looking to buy a pair but everything is soo expensive and there are no used sales happening here and I was like, gosh I wish I was where S is, :(

Me: :( Hunt craigslist? Maybe something there?

This is so cool!!! I am so going to make this!

Me: You can use bigger plates to make cake stands. Just make sure, you buy the base and plate together and see whether it “fits”

That’s very cute. you can cover up the cake slice with some vinyl wrapping and make a small flowy ribbon bow to it.

Me: Yup. A friend said I have to make fancy cupcakes. Will see how that turns out.

  4. Looks lovely !!
Did the girls get to be part of this activity? Knowing Ashwina’s love for art, she must have enjoyed it … ya?

Me:They helped me decide which base for which plate. And then the weighing down. But the glue is pretty nasty so I was scared to let them play with it.
