Remember the chair from the living room spot down below. Yesterday, I decided I am going to remove its stinky cushions and try and give it a new life.
3 hours later, armed with a flat nose screwdriver and Ashwina’s beading pliers, I had a pile of these
And the chair looked like this
I went out last night and found fabric(on clearance). It was suppose to be like this when its all done.
After I took this picture, I flipped the chair and was working on removing more staples from its underbelly. One particular staple was being stubborn and refused to come out. Of course, I had to show that staple whose the boss. I mean I bench press 60 lbs and whats one teeny staple. I stood up, put one of my feet on the chairs delicate legs and pulled with all of my strength, Apparently I am stronger than I thought. The leg sort of got bent. I tried pushing it back into original position. Couldnt. I took a break and tried harder. Still couldnt .
After a few gaalis, I went to call NK. And he answers the phone with, WHY ARE YOU CALLING ME at this time. I shout back at him, why cant I call you. I hang up. I went back to the chair, picked everything up and went and dumped in the church’s dumpster. My 3 hours yesterday…completely wasted. The fabric I cut out in the cushion’s shape..complete waste of time.Luckily the chair only cost me 99cents and the fabric was cheap as well… Sigh
PS:Comments will close on the giveway at the end of NaBloPoMo.
Tomorrow is my wisdom tooth extraction. Send good thoughts my way.

I empathize with you:(..But on the brightside you have a lot of strength:)..I’ve suddenly developed this passion for baking and making desserts. My first Chocolate cake (I accidentaly dropped too much lemon essence in it)..continued to bake it but what a taste disaster:((texture was perfect though).. Valentine’s day made tiramisu..looked delicious..but a tad too much coffee liquer:)..I know u will never give up home projects so one hiccup shouldnt get to you:)..
Though I loved the way that chair was placed with plants and stuff and the details on hands / legs of chair looked good, there’s a lotta effort / time / money needed to bring that chair to a newlike condition. Evenafter recushion ing the chair , you still had to do something to hide the ripped-off- portion in the back rest and a wood color varnish / spray paint . That’s too much work though. So let’s put it this way, everything happens for the best and I think you are really blessed with the thrift fairy and if you keep your eyes open, you’ll soon find an even prettier chair soon.
ROFl…i was laughing so hard that my colleagues thought i went nuts…
I just had a visual of what it must have been..you pulling the nail….60 pound bench press and all….
convo’s btw u and NK crack me up..on a serious note…agar main wahi kartha..mere biwi to mujhse minimum 3 days jagda karegi…
best of luck with ur wisdom tooth extraction. apply lots of ice for atleast 2-3 hrs. and eat icecream for lunch and dinner

Damn. that was a nice chair. ahhh well. u win some u lose some :/
I got all 4 of my wisdome teeth out at once under general Anesthesia. Went home in 4 hrs…it was worth the money – a couple of day of soup but overall great. Good luck with yours.
Oh! TRhat didn’t work out is it?? No no no good at all.
I was so hoping you will do it, and than I will get inspired to do something too!
I can imagine you fighting that chair! OMG… *I felt bad for the chair for a sec.* lol On a side note, I wouldn’t mess with you too much now cause I’m sure you can kick my ass… hahaha Better yet, kick NK’s ass instead…for that phone convo. j/k (maybe you both just had a crappy day)….
I had all 4 wisdom teeth out at once w/gen. anesthesia…THANK GOODNESS! It was super painful because I was pregnant and had to wait 9 months before I could get them out. However, do EVERYTHING they say to make sure it doesn’t get infected…SUPER IMPORTANT! You’ll do fine….
but, my husband is in his 40′s and he still has all his wisdom teeth….they always want to pull it out, but he won’t let them cause it’s not bothering him…
