The end of NaBloPoMo

I did it. Some days were hard. I had to think long and hard. Some days the words just came out. But it felt forced. I had to think what I wanted to write. I hated that. It felt forced. I doubt I would EVER this again..Moving along…

We had date night last night. Samar’s preschool auction night. The item I donated was a cooking lesson for 4. A Indian-Singaporean Fusion cooking class. My items were palak-paneer, Ayam Merah, Raita, rice, chole and Pulot Hitam. Everyone would go home with a set of basic spices. I thought I would buy containers from Ikea and have haldi, garam masala and jeera sent home with the bidders so that they can cook. My starting bid was $35 and the bid ended at $65(I think I might be wrong). I am kinda of nervous now. I think I would plan to make them drunk and first and then start the lesson. :)

I bidded and won a champagne brunch thing($15) with an author and few other cool moms.I dont even know the author. All I saw was the champagne :) Another item I won was a cocktail and appetizers party for 10 couples at a another mom’s house. NK is not going with me. Samar’s bff’s mom(I should have a name for her) would be my date.($30) And then finally a babysitting thing Samar’s bff ‘s mom was donating. My budget was $50 and I went over by $15 which isnt so bad. NK’s went and bid on a 1 night hotel stay here. It started at $50 which would have been a steal but then someone kept bidding against him and he then upped it to $110, which I though was $$. Oh well…I like how the auction stuff I got is things I get to do by myself..:) With no kids or family.

I wore a new outfit and my babysitter did my hair and makeup. It was fun seeing all the moms dressed up. People we see everyday in jeans and sweatshirts wearing heels and make up and with hair done. NK said he couldnt believe how “popular” I was. I knew a lot of people who are not in my class. And he was highly impressed with how high my donated item went. I didnt take any photographs at home because we were running late. Hopefully I will have some nice ones from the event.

PS:Last chance to win a special mystery price here

Oh my god you are really gonna take cooking classes for people? I will repeat myself for the zillionth time “you are from out of this world – super woman”

Me:Its a one time thing that I donated for Samar’s auction. Each family has to donate something. Its a fundraiser.

Waiting for pics and waiting to find out how your cooking class go.

I’ve donated 2 classes for the school’s winter fair and have yet to do them – but will have to soon.

Auction sounds fun… waiting for pictures.

Oh NO! please don’t stop posting everyday… your blog is my virtual coffee buddy every morning :-)

Me: I have blog burnout. Too tough to compose everyday. Plus my girls refuse to take my pictures and I cannot even do a daily outfit series.
