Monday Moneysavers

I had an extremely busy weekend. A full day on Saturday and my cooking class on Sunday.(post coming tomorrow) As I was getting ready for the class, I realized I was out of cilantro and tumeric powder. Opps both important things in cooking.

I decided to head out to the desi store with 1 hour to spare before the mums started arriving at my house.

As I driving, I saw the bright neon sign. A rummage sale at local school and we had gone last year. I thought , I will do a quick spin through.

Drove, parked and as I walked through the entrance of the gym, the person announces, its a bag sale and everything is up for grabs.

Child in the background claims she is sick and stayed home Monday morning.

I paid $15 for the entire thing. I had no time to go around to all the different depts. It was a very well organized sale but I had no time at all!!!

Pretty cutlery

Calla Lily napking holders

A very unique teacup

A really heavy silver teapot, an aromatherapy burner

The teapot(i think its a teapot) has a strainer in the spout and weighs about 12 lbs. Ohh I just googled the markings at the bottom and it might be a vintage cocktail shaker. I dont have the time to go google more, but if anyone is interested. Its Meriden S.P CO 311 Patented Jan 11 1927. BL, any idea what it could be?

Before I get trolls, saying wtf am I going to do with everything I bought. I will just show how I already have put mostsomeof the things to use.

In my bathroom

Holding books on my dresser

Holding my red wine

Your house is not cluttered at all when I have been there. It looks really nice and you incorporate everything into your decor so well. So let them ask what you do with all that stuff!
I want you to go couch shopping for me. I need a 1950 style retro couch.

Me: Oh oh…I would love to do that. We need to get together on a Thursday again.

Awesome stuff. Tell me something, do you sort of plan out how you’re going to put to use what WHILE shopping, because you find very interesting ways to use them almost immediately after!

Me:Sort of, I usually know what and how I am going to use said piece. Sometimes I’ll walk around with it and if I cant visualize it in my eye, I put it back.

Also, I totally heart that quirky pale blue cup :)

Me:Me too. Made in Bavaria Germany and very delicate.
