Monday Moneysaver

I am exhausted. I had a busy weekend. June and I sold at a mom’s club flea market on Saturday morning. I made around $42? and she made slightly more. I didnt have enough things to sell..which actually is a good thing right? That means everything in my house is either functional or I love it and cannot get rid of it. I got rid/sold/donated tons of things when we moved so thats why I didnt have anything to sell..

Sunday, 2 friends and I went early morning to Alameda Flea Market. OH MY GOD..Imagine a giant estate sale all at one… It was overwhelming to say the least. And exhausting. We walked for about 6 hours?

Here are some pictures of the weird and the cute.

Rows of cutlery

A cute setFlower frogs were everywhere

What do you think this is? Condiments in the bowls and a huge bowl of salad in the middle?

Broken doll parts

Jewellery

Rows of Lanterns

Mansion Bird Cage

I am too lazy to go take a picture of what I bought. I spent $16. $1 on lace, $8 on 20 flower brooches for Ashwina’s party, $5 on glass stirrers for my bar-cart and $2 on a vintage Singer sewing machine home economics class workbook.

I thought some of the prices were really high compared to thrift stores or estate sales. My friends will go again in August and maybe I will tag along as well.

The wooden plate with the glass bowls looks a lot like the typical Indian thali. You know, with all the curries, dals etc in the glass bowls with rice and roti in the center.

Speaking of sewing machines, I have been looking for a sewing machine and found a Pfaff Hobby machine for about $75. Do you know if it is any good?

Me: I do know that Pfaff are a really good brand of sewing machine. I dont know about that model. The price seems reasonable.
