My first born turns 11. I have been a mother for 11 yrs.. Isn’t that something? Nk and I were talking and we can remember so many first details, her first words(she spoke really well at like 9 months or something crazy like that) Her first step, I remember was before she turned 1, NK sat on one side and I the other and we called and cajoled her to walk so that we could capture it on the video camera.
When she was 2.5-3 yrs old and we were living in MA, she had to take a test for a public preschool we were applying for. The lady took her away and brought her back after 20-30 mins. (NK still talks about this event like it happened yesterday. They were testing her for English skills and some crap like that). The examiner would ask her something and Ashwina would give her reply and she wrote it down. One of the ones I can remember was, When it started raining<complete the sentence> her answer was then it stopped.. Another one was to label a pen, a marker and pencil. She knew pen and pencil but not marker since we didnt use any. She did pass that test but we chose NOT to put there or something like that. (why I am telling you this story is beyond me)
She and I share a lot of loves. The first is of course reading, the thing is that now she recommends books that I should read, I am currently waiting for her to get me the Charlie Bone series. We both are very crafty, she moreso than I am. With her origami and her intricate beading designs for which I dont have patience for.
I baked a cake for her class today..All thats was left were crumbs. She said it was really good and her classmates loved it. She went out with a friend to a indoor playground. Her friend won the school read-a-thon prize and invited Ashwina to go with her. We wanted to go out for dinner but all 3 older kids have a rehearsal that is going to end late.

I laughed when I read it. I said what did you revise. She said its in order of importance. NK bought a beading loom set yesterday and she’s been busy with it so far. Her party is Friday afternoon. I have 23 bags finished, fabric paint bought. I have a long to-do list for tomorrow.

Me: At times, it feels like she is already one. I was talking to some one and she has a 12,14 and 18 yr, older 2 girls and 1 younger boy ..she said its gets worse..
today is my elder sisters bday too! she’s the eldest in the family. and the mad momma’s brat’s bday is today too who is also the eldest. there’s something about 05/05 and being the first born i suppose!

Did u use the double boiler method to melt nutella or the microwave? Im really paranoid about the double boiler method for some reason:(..have never ever dared to melt chocolate..except the Ganache where i put hot whipping cream over the chocolate:)
Me: Microwaving in 10 sec increments..
