Monday MoneySavers

I somehow lost the zeal of blogging. Hence, the no posts. I mean how much can you hear about what was the latest thrifting thing I found. Or Samar had another bad outbreak(he ate rice) or that I am still not working out. In other words, things are what they were over the past 2 months. The girls are in Girl Scout camp this week. The boys will have summer camp and I will have 2 glorious days( 3 hours each) of NO KIDS!

Last week, one of my fav thrift stores underwent a major re hauling. They threw out a lot of things. Organized their furniture. Best of all they did this to their shelves

In case you cannot read 4 for $1

See the white teapot, brand new from Starbucks. Bought it and gave it away. The blue Grecian vase, Samar’s preschool teacher bought it to use as a prop in a play she is doing.

I bought quite a few thing. Another Villeroy and Boch.

Oversized cup and saucer

 This is what I got

A cheese/cake platter

A heavy marble lazy susan

A tiny ice-bucket

 Stuff

Really like the 2 long plates. I am using one as a spoon rest

I know hate me now!

  1. Enjoy your shopping !!
What plans have you made for the 2 glorious days mentioned above? Hope you have fun.

Regarding the marble piece, was reminded of my mom’s chapati making marble … sooooo resembles this piece :)

I love the fan-shaped ones! So pretty! :)

Me: I dont know what I am going to use those for yet.

I wish you would write more posts, but you’re right to slack off when your interest level goes down. I mean, I’d hate for you to feel that maintaining your blog is just another daily chore! It might make you stop blogging completely and I really WOULD be disappointed then – and I bet I speak for a whole lotta others.

    Me:Aww sweet comment. Thanks!

The only reason why I don’t buy the cute things I see is because of lack of storage space. Maybe you can share some storage and organization ideas. That’s something to write about right??

Me: Sigh storage.. How awesome would it be to have a huge house with unlimited storage.

  5. Preethi says:

Me: HA! I ignore them and let them run wild most of the time.
