Where do I start?

Things have been busy in the house. What with ebay, 4 kids on vacation(2 weeks till they get back to school, not that I am counting) along with not working out and making excuses not to go to the gym, the summer has just whizzed by.

Something’s changed in me. There were times where something happens and all I wanted to do was run as fast as I could and pour it out on the blog. Now, that urge has gone away. Whether it be something major that happened to me or the everyday mundane stuff. Maybe finally after 5 years, its time to shut the blog and be a normal person.

Part of the reason is that too many people I know now read this. I cannot vent about stuff that I could do if I was incognito. Another reason is that the kids privacy..Ashwina is going to middle school, what if her friends google stuff and find the link? And make fun of her? or not even her friends, what if she reads stuff on the sly. Thats why maybe I should start another blog. but then whats the thrill? If it has zero readership. Doesnt one blog for the readers? Ohh I haventhad trolls in a long long time. Even they think I am not worth it anymore :) Chalo choro yeh sab batey and moving along,

Ebay is going fantastically well. I had 3-4 international sales this week. This is what my house looks like right now. I posted an ISO on my local mums club and then drove around this afternoon picking this up from 2 houses

Yes, I am giddy at the thought of FREE shipping supplies. I have enough bubble wrap, packaging paper and boxes to last me a while. Do you know how crazy expensive bubble wrap? I have 2 garbage full, along with packing peanuts and paper.

I dont think you guys have met my “employees”

“Boo” is my extra small to size 10 dress form and “Chameli” is my plus size form. Boo is wearing a Boden wrap dress and Chameli has on a Vintage Citrusy bath robe from the 60s. I found them both on craigslist and feel that they add a professionalism to my listings.

Sometimes, I buy things and feel that its so hard to list. for eg, I kept a really soft 100% cashmere grey cardigan for myself. I found a garbage full bag of vintage playmobil sets/boxes. The kids played with them and had fun. They wanted me to NOT sell it. uhmm no! The evil mum I am, I sold about 5 boxes and have a few left which I need to take pictures and list in the next few days.

Vintage Pyrex Chemex Coffee Maker

Isnt this the most gorgeous coffee flask?  Read about Chemex here. And I dont even drink coffee. I drink chai. She is currently listed on my store, if anyone’s interested :)

Its 11 p/m..I should pretend to put away the shipping supplies away.

Its strange, how I am going through the same phase with blogging too, not having the intense urge to put thing on my blog. I think it is that way with almost everyone, blogging is slow these days.

Me: Maybe its the change of the seasons that is making everyone feel that way!

About your e-bay store, well done. Good use of skills, and your finds are simply amazing! Keep it going S!!

i am in a similar phase… tho my blog aint anywhere as popular or cool as yours! :) plus i stick to fluff.

but if you do start a new blog you just have to let us regulars know least! thats still a captive audience! :)

and love your ebay thing! bleddy brilliant!! haffun and keep enjoying the success!

    hugs

No – No please don’t stop blogging. Use initials or pseudonyms to protect the identities of your children and anonymize the photos you post.

We all do love to read about what’z happening in your life!

Me: I should have started doing that anonymus thing to begin with… Sigh!

  5. It would be sad for me if you stop blogging, after all, I just found you. But, I do understand when you just want to change things up — I am in the same boat. Even if you give up blogging for a while, you can always return to it. BTW I have a middle-school daughter, and she blogs too…

I think it’s so awesome that the ebay sales are going well. I think you are a good businesswoman! You have the eye to pick out the good stuff and you know how to present them. I’ve seen your posts on BMC and you know how to make it sound good.

As for the blog, I know what you mean. Very few people that I know IRL know about my blog, yet, enough people do know about it that it prevents me from saying many things.

Did you ever post a link to your ebay store on here? I looked for it on the right but it’s not there…

    “Chameli”? LOL!

And now, woman, you better don’t shut this blog. I love this place, and I love what you write.

I know it’s common courtesy to say good things about blogs and bloggers that threaten to shut down :D but Asaaan is one blog where the honesty really shines through.
