I am not dead

I just have too many things going on. Plus I think I have major blogger block. I want to tell you about my first job interview I went to, my first day of being back in the classroom, of having the kids returning to school and just dealing with one child and the peace and quiet.

So many things, so much to tell and yet the words seem stuck.Let’s see I will do point update.

1. I applied for a part time job from a posting on the local mum’s club. She emailed me and I was set to meet with her and her 2 partners. It was doing a bit of events planning, a bit of marketing for dentist group. It was nerve racking going for an interview. I am not someone who gets nervous. But I was…I think I did okay, save for one question when they asked what did I do before kids. I could have told her about the jobs I did in Singapore but yet I said nothing.. Dumb of me. So because of that, I am going with that I didnt get the job. I havent heard anything back, they said end of next week…so we’ll see.

2.I signed up to do a Project Mangement class at the local community college. Very interesting. A mixture of young and old students. The lecturer made the class seem fun. I have 2 chapters to read for next week’s class. We have to do 2 case studies. Fun stuff.

3.My ebay is going fantastically well(nazar na lage). Its so fun to wake up each morning and see either what has sold or whether I received an email from someone sending in their Best Offer. Where else can one go to bed  sleep  and earn money? I bought a scale and labels and have been printing postage at home. Made my life so much easier.

I leave you a picture with the older 3 on their first day of school. Kitne sarif bache lage rahe hai> DO NOT BE FOOLED> They are monsters in disguise.

“Where else can one go to bed and earn money?”

Glad everything is going well! Looking forward to more updates!

    Me: Another one :)

  3. Goofy Mumma says:

You do, have a lot going on woman, and hence you are pardoned, for not updating this space often enough. And btw, bachhe shareef hi hain, and I am sure if we ask them, they would use the same statement about u. ;)

Me:Oh they call me monster mommy.

Don’t malign the kids’ – they look angelic!!

All the best for your interview – hope you get the job.

Just wanted to mention something J told me recently – keep detailed records and receipts for all the purchases and sales you do on ebay because he heard on a radio show by Clark Howard that the IRS is going to get stricter with those transactions.

Me: Yes Paypal is going to issue a 1099k if 200 transactions plus 20k in sales. I do have my reciepts saved, plus I input my inventory in an excel database. I have been researching on this .. like I could write off my $30 a month data plan plus phone services because I use them in “my work” when out thrifting. gas money plus so many other things.

  6. La Vida Loca says:

    Ashwina has grown real tall…

Me: Yeah she shot up over the summer.

you have flair, you should be on your own-

Me: I didnt understand the “being on my own”?

  9. Chooch says:

So cute, your kids are!and you’re one lucky, enterprising monster mom you…I wish I could earn bucks while sleeping!

  10. dakul says:

    yes, you do..
you start inside your garage/wherever you have spare space and see how it goes..
word of mouth is the best advertising..
all the looking and finding can be more productive -
