This weekend, I didnt go thrifting. I had Samar’s preschool stuff both on Friday and Saturday. But that doesnt mean I didnt find anything. I went out thrifting over the weekday evening.
Guess what I found.Bar Carts. Not one but 2!
And I have to relist this one.I dont think I am going to list them on Ebay. Shipping will too hard. Though the ones on there, sell for much more than $120.
I found one of these yesterday. Koenig & Meyer Wooden Music Stand. Ashwina does play the flute. I am debating whether I should keep it or sell. It is in brand new condition. One of the hard things is parting with said item. Especially if its something the kids NK want. NK, I warn him before showing the item that ITS FOR SELLING AND NOT FOR YOU! The kids, if its something they can play with before I list, I let them at it otherwise I don’t even show it to them.
I gave Ashwina a huge bag of DMC Embroidery floss thread even though it goes for $$. She is into making friendship bracelets. I did extract a promise that she would do some chores in return. Tough love is what I preach and practise.

Those bar carts are absolutely beautiful. The first one sold so fast! Where did you sell it, Ebay?
Me: Nope Craigslist. Shipping would be too hard. I did list the brass one today, just to see what the respone might be.
The carts look so shiny and nice. I thought you put up one of them on craigslist, no?
Me: I did put the brass gold one and then the lady came and saw the other and wanted the other so I sold the other.
Went to some yard sales this weekend with the MIL ( who is visiting) and she LOVED it!
We bought some really cool antique jewelery items and the MIL couldn’t stop talking about them and beaming all day
Me: YAY.. What did she say about it being used and such? Did she care? My mil, I wouldnt tell this..but my mom knows
Do post pics of the freidnship bracelets when Ashwina is done,k?
My MIL ( and mom) are both very down to earth types and really low maintenance ( meaning well). In fact, my MIL is hooked..more than me to these sales
Talking of people who cringe at the mention of seconds items, the SIL and her husband – proudly showed them the cool jewelery and they went ‘wow!, from where?’ I tell them truthfully and see an immediate change in reaction ‘You buy jewelery from yard sales, really? Hmm.”
Hmmph, who cares
Me: Sigh glad your mil is having fun! You should bring her to a church rummage sale if there is any
Thanks! I had no idea about the embroidery thread going for big bucks. I have quite a bit I have thrifted. Sweet!
Me: Waves hello! I think if you gather a lot of floss, there can be a good old bidding war!
The second cart looks gorgeous. ROFL at “Tough love is what I preach and practise.”
very very nice! i like the first cart more! and i love the way you make em look nice by adding the gorgeous stuff you have!
rockstar you are!
