My girls amaze me. I know everyone thinks their own offspring is amazing brilliant and a “snowflake”. but I, I have proof.
She made these out of lanyard string. She took the pens nib. Followed a tutorial from a book. How amazing is that? Her friends want her to make one for them. She asked me should I charge them money? I said what do you think? She said firstly I dont want to waste my pen and 2ndly I dont want to use my string. So she made a deal with her friends, that they would get her the pen and string. She was going to say and pay me $1 but changed her mind
She learnt a really simple one from Girl Scout camp. She then found some videos on youtube and made the complicated ones. She has them hanging from her school backpack.I The orange, white and red color combination was chosen by Aavsha. Avasha has made a few as well. As I was taking pictures last night, both girls started screaming, WE DON’T YOU TO SELL OUR THINGS. STOP TAKING PICTURES! Therapy will be required soon for my kids!
This one has different pattern on each side. She made a bunch of these using dmc thread. Creative right?

VERY!.. you should share a video showing how they are prepared.. looks so interesting!
Absolutely creative!!!
OMFG!! Bloody brilliant work!! How old is she again?
Me: 11
wow! seems like she is all set to follow in her mom’s foot steps! congratulations such creativity should be nurtured
Those are adorable!
Wonderful! Very talented!
You know, you could sell these at your store as well!
That is proof indeed of their genius.
Mine’s the opposite, all they ever do is ask me to buy them yet another thing.
I will need to start to look into selling or we’ll become a family of mindless consumers.
Oh wow. You should be proud. My brat’s craft would look like junk to anyone else’s eyes but his doting mother’s
Ashwina is one talented cookie..It would be a great way for her to earn pocket money too!. Maybe u could sell them as party favors if she would like too:)…See she made good use of all that thread!:)
wow!
wow…they are really talented…those look so wonderful..and LOL on the not selling stuff
Wow..very creative!
this could be an interesting take off on ” if you dont behave i will sell you to the circus” …you are really blessed to have such creative children, touch wood!!
Me: Its not just my mother’s eye then?
I want a pen too! And tell her I am definitely paying S. So please get her to make me one…. please! They are gorgeous.
Me: I should do a give-a-away maybe?
They’re pretty awesome.. and so neatly done! LOL @ stop taking pictures, we don’t want you to sell our stuff

cheers!
YOU’RE creative, THEY’RE creative
No surprise there!
Verrry creative! Totally WOW!
very nice work! WTG!
OMG! that is fantastic!
lol @ the don’t take pictures
.. I practically died laughing at that one!
wow! those are really cute!!! way to go Ashwina!
Very amazing!!! I learned to make these in my ohhh late teen… and for your girls to be making these at their age, it requires lots of patience! I am very impressed. Though not surprised by their creativity. They learn from their mom
Me: I am amazed at how well they both read something and then are able to follow the directions perfectly. Like origami, I could read it twenty times but I always stumble on step 7-10..Always!
Oh wait… did I hear a “give-a-away”!!! I am in for a pen and/or one of that twisty ones (orange, white, red, blue is amazing!). And I will pay for it too
She teaches herself and does all this?? Now, that IS something!
Making them with no cost to friends..that says she is a kind and loving soul too
Your child is truly gifted S…*knock on wood* I say she has a big future..and creativity is never out of scope, ever!
Lol @ DONT take pics !
Fantastic work by your girl!
You know S, your child has been gifted with a talent that cannot be taught or bought. It just has to be there. Only techniques can be taught/bought but not talent. This is a gift which will be her best friend. Take it from experience that whenever I feel down in the dumps and need to turn to something I am good at, something to cheer me up, something to call my own and give me company anytime of the day/night, i go to my arts and crafts corner. I start making stuff like these and when I am done, I am this calm, not-so-whiny person anymore. Not neccessarily happy but surely not a crabby person. So encourage your child in this line as much as studies because this is and will be her true friend till the end. Really.
Me: I hope she will be this crafty when she is older.
