I had purchased a livingsocial deal for a hotel stay in Yosemite. We decided to use this past weekend.
It was a lovely, lovely vacation. Beautiful trails, very few people since it was off season. Perfect sunny weather.
We did 3 hikes. 2 to see the waterfalls and one to the giant sequoia trees.

PS: I am debating driving with all 4 kids by myself cross country to New Hampshire. I am plotting the route and will most likely travel through the southern part of the country versus the north to avoid snow. Yes I am crazy.
Cross country driving with the kids …. nice !! Good luck … do not overstress yourself … get ample rest / breaks to re-energise yourself.
I would LOVE to do a cross country trip like that. Although, I don’t know about doing that by myself… with 4 kids in tow.

i am sure you will have fun! the cross country drives are awesome. we did one there and one here and while in hind-sight it was clear madness, it was fun too!
