Me, Me And yes ME.

Its hard to write something about yourself. What words should one use? Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother.. Creative, Cranky, Crazy,(hmm all C words) .Born and Brought up in Singapore, married 12 years(OMFG) 14 yearsand stay at home mom to my FOUR kids in USA.

Firstly, I think I am a mom. Yes, I have FOUR kids.Ashwina is my oldest.Avasha who I thought was going to my last baby. Neil who was my first boy. And then Samar, my 2nd boy

I write about my kids, my day, my neighbours, my life,  my weightloss struggles, stupid people who piss me off with their remarks. Sometimes, I write 2 posts in a day, other times, I go 10 days before I post.
I recently started posting pictures of my daily outfits.
It all started because I was googling for a certain way to tie a scarf which led to blogs where all the author does is post pictures of their daily outfits, which lead to me committing to do for one week. Which led me to thrift stores and church rummage sales to hunt for clothes which in turn had led to an obsession with my outfits. Even though all I might do that day is go and pick my kids up from school.I will do it in style.

I also lost close to 60lbs in 2 years. I was a size 20 at my biggest. 245 lbs on the day I gave birth to my youngest child.I dropped some weight when I gave birth and was breast-feeding. But I was still close to 220 lbs. I started going for daily walks when he was 4 months old. A  short, brisk 30 min walk at a trail near my house. Then I joined a gym.  I did a weekly weigh in and posted a picture of the gym’s scale every week. I lost 13 lbs. I started doing more research. Tweaked my diet a bit. Started lifting weights and 2 yrs later am down to a size 10. My goal is to fit into a size 6. Will I ever do it? I dont know but I sure am going to try

I started selling on Ebay in June 2010. I was able to be somewhat successful and decided to make this full time job. Asaaan Bazaar is my store name. I sell one of a kind vintage collectibles. From vintage Le Creuset to bar carts. I sell a wide variety of things. I find my goods from thrift stores, estate sales and garage sales. I love what I do.

Take a cup of chai and read.

By the way, I’m actually having a cup of chai as I’m reading this. Glad we’ve bumped into each other.

    Hi Sraikh!

Your posts are inspiring me and I am thinking of joining a gym. I went to curves but didn’t like it too much and there is 1 more gym in the area where you just go and work out. Can you please tell me what to see and expect. I mean how much is too much fee and what to expect from them. Should I hire a personal trainer or just do the exercise. how much do you pay? And could you give me the link to your exercise blog..

    Hugs
    Mommy of 2

    Me: emailed you
